The falcon is a mythical bird of prey, with a twofold symbolic significance: for some
cultures it represents glory and wealth, for others it suggests adversity.

These exquisitely hand-painted pieces highlight all the intricate detail and sheer
perfection bird’s wingspan as the magnificent creature prepares to fly or land. With or
without its hood, this splendid creature radiates an aura of nobility and poise.

Born in 1967, Marine Oussedik graduated from the Paris
Ecole Supérieure of Graphic Art.
• Her life is devoted to horses. This comes through in her art.
She also rides daily. Contact with horses is an essential, if
not vital part of her existence.
• Marine Oussedik is also a sculptor, and in 1996 exhibited
her first pieces of work in bronze. Over the course of time she
has added to her art with designs produced for the Faïencerie
de Gien, “Chevaux du vent” and “Chevaux du soleil”, and worked on projects with the Belin
publishers. She usually works without a model, in ink, which enables her to fully express
her style and allows her more artistic freedom.
• These days her work is exhibited all over the world, particularly in Switzerland, England
(London), the United States, the United Arab Emirates and China.
• Art critics have often recognized the elegant stroke of her brush, her intricate detail,
anatomical accuracy, as well as the agility and dream-like quality that pervade her work.
