Notre histoire

The Boutique Claude Berry has its origins in the memories of my mother's childhood and earthenware, Madame Raymonde Raimbault. Originally from Cernoy-en-Berry in France, pure Berrichonne but Giennoise at heart, Madame Raimbault arrived in Quebec in 1955 with her husband Mr. Joseph Zimmermann, a watchmaker by trade. In 1981, she opened the Boutique Claude Berry in Quebec, on the Côte de la Fabrique. From the start, it was the only one in North America to sell Gien Art Earthenware such as Peony or Renaissance.

Ms. Raimbault loved beauty above all else and her boutique reflects this. Unfortunately, my mother, this great lady left us on February 16, 2008.

I n her memory, I have the great honor of taking over her Claude Berry boutique and pursuing the dream she cherished all her life. She leaves me a legacy of her dream and her love for the beauty of earthenware and beautiful objects.

In 1999, I opened the site www.lasteroide.com and specialized in the retail sale of earthenware from Gien and Quimper. The www.lasteroide.com site has always been one of the biggest sellers of earthenware online and had one of the largest inventories of earthenware from Gien and Quimper in North America.

Ihe Lasteroide site has closed its doors but it will live again through a new site. It is therefore with joy that I combine the experience and reputation of lasteroide.com and the Boutique Claude Berry, which I now own, to offer our customers the new www.claudeberry site. Com. You will find on this new site the Earthenware of Gien and Quimper that you loved so much on lasteroide.com. You will also be able to discover a range of magnificent decorative objects such as: Santons de Provence by Marcel Carbonel, Fouque and Didier, Crystal and pewter from Postainiers Hutois, carved ducks from Quebec craftsmen,
