The classic design of the faiencerie knownh as « Pont aux choux »
located in Paris near a bridge where marquet farmers grew their vegetables.
This factory, famous in the 18th century for its production of English creamware,
was purchased in 1819 by Hall, the founder of the Gien Faïencerie.
