the scenes of everyday life, representing India in all its richness and diversity, all its
shimmering colours and costumes: the blues of the seas and fishing, the fuchsia
pinks of the markets, spices and savours, the yellows of the buildings and
passenger vehicles and the greens of the vegetation.
