Wallpapers from Gien
*********************
La Faïencerie de Gien intends to share its values beyond the diameter of the plate, the dining room and the kitchen.
Gien now invests every room in the home with its “relaxed French chic” and opens a new chapter: that of decoration, with wallpapers, strips and panoramics.
This change of scale represents a technical challenge.
The factory’s in-house graphics studio took up the challenge, and carried out a series of tests, accompanied by the publisher Isidore Leroy, a wallpaper manufacturer since 1842.
A manufacturing and distribution partner, Isidore Leroy shares Gien’s quest for excellence.
To illustrate this new decorative era, Gien has chosen two emblematic motifs from its 19th century heritage,
one floral: Tulipes, the other Orientalist: Vues d’Orient. The monochrome Tulips are imagined as a frieze on a background of stripes for wallpapers of different colors.
For Vues d’Orient, the oriental fresco, with felucca, palaces, palm trees and exotic birds, unfolds in panoramic views.
